Starring David Arquette (Scream) and Scarlett Johansson (Under the Skin), a toxic waste mishap transforms the Arizona’s spiders into gigantic, hungry monsters. Eight Legged Freaks (2002) is very similar to Tremors (1990) in tone and intensity of scares – it’s a horror-comedy that’s great for tweens, teens, and adults alike! Rated PG-13 | Runtime 1h 39m

It’s one big horror movie food scene! The Menu follows extreme foodie Nicholas Hoult (Renfield) and his date, Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch), to a once-in-a-lifetime culinary experience crafted by Chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes, Schindler’s List). Said experience is on a remote island so, as horror fans, we know it isn’t going to go well. The Menu is suspenseful, slightly gory, just a dash funny, and will leave you hungry… Rated R | Runtime 1h 47m

Witchboard (1986) is a great example for why you shouldn’t bring your Ouija board to your friend’s next party. If you love seeing 1980’s “teens” being taken out one-by-one via demonic possession – Witchboard is your jam! Rated R | Runtime 1h 38m

Spider Baby: Or, the Maddest Story Ever Told (1967) features a 28-year-old Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Jill Banner (Weekend of Fear), and Beverly Washburn (Old Yeller) as crazed siblings. Lon Chaney, Jr. (The Wolf Man) works as their chauffer & caretaker and has, thus far, kept the siblings in line within their spooky mansion. But distant relatives are coming over for a visit soon which means all heck is about to break loose for some classic horror-comedy scares & guffaws! Unrated | Runtime 1h 26m

In this psychological horror-thriller, Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus) and his girlfriend Emayatzy Corinealdi (Vampz) are invited to his ex-wife Tammy Blandard’s (Into the Woods) dinner party. They accept her -heh- invitation, and slowly realize they may have entered into a less-than-friendly situation as the ex-wife and her other dinner guests show their true intentions for the evening. Not Rated | Runtime 1h 40m

We ALL have a Tingler inside of us – it’s the parasitic creature you’re born with, that’s attached to your spine, and feeds on your fear. It’s what causes that “clenching” feeling along your back when you get scared! At least, that’s how anatomy works in the world of The Tingler; and it’s wonderfully fun. Vincent Price stars as Dr. Warren Chaplin who takes it upon himself to remove someone’s Tingler to study it – but what happens when it gets released on US, the audience?! The Tingler is a great introduction to the films of William Castle (House on Haunted Hill, Mr. Sardonicus, 13 Ghosts, etc.), is manageably scary fun for ages nine and up (the one color sequence in this other black-and-white film is a stand-out moment that still dazzles, 65+ years later!), and it tells its story in under 90 minutes so there’s no reason NOT to watch it! Not Rated | Runtime 1h 22m

Arachnophobia (1990) follows spider-fearing country doctor Jeff Daniels (Speed) and his family as their small down is slowly overrun by an extremely deadly new species of arachnid. Unlike Eight Legged Freaks, the spiders in Arachnophobia aren’t gigantic – but there’s a TON of them! It feels like a disaster film, but – rather than a tornado or a volcanic eruption – the disaster is a plague of spiders. Arachnophobia also stars the late Julian Sands (Warlock) at his early 1990’s peak romance-novel-cover dreamiest. Rated PG-13 | Runtime 1h 43m
Where to Watch Arachnophobia (1990):

The only film in the Halloween franchise to not include Michael Myers is fun, creative, and focuses on the TRUE meaning of Halloween night – in more ways than one! Halloween masks produced by Silver Shamrock (a Don Post Studios-like company with an insanely catchy commercial jingle!) are going to murder their wearers and it’s up to Tom Atkins (Night of the Creeps) to put a stop to it. Halloween III also stars Daniel Peter O’Herlihy (Twin Peaks) who’s a standout as Conal Cochran, a warlock who’s tired of foolish children disrespecting his favorite autumn holiday! Rated R | Runtime 1h 39m
